Question 1: Identify the environmental damage due to an oil spill with respect to vegetation.
Question 2: Identify the environmental damage due to an oil spill with respect to animals.
Question 3: Identify the environmental damage due to an oil spill with respect to land/air/water.
Category B – 50% to 75% max
Current
Question 1: Identify a method that is currently in use for the recovery of an oil spill.
Question 2: Identify a method that is currently in use for the prevention of an oil spill.
Category C – 50% to 100% max
For the Future
Question 1: Create a solution for the recovery of an oil spill.
Question 2: Create a solution for prevention of an oil spill.
Evaluation Bonus
You will receive an extra 10% bonus (of your total mark) if you submit your work early by Wednesday February 19th.
You will receive an extra 5% bonus (of your total mark) if you submit your work early by Tuesday February 25th.
Method of Presentation
Option 1: Email – create an email to explain and present your findings. (350 words max)
Option 2: PowerPoint – create a power point presentation to present your findings. You may use pictures and videos to support your answer.
Option 3: Animation and/or Video – Most time consuming, if you use this method you will receive an extra 5% of your total mark.
If your response is too big for email, please submit your presentation by USB drive directly to Mr Yu.
Important to Note
You must provide evidence to support your solution. This does not need to be as complex bibliography, but you must be able to prove your scientific facts by identifying where you had received the information.
You can have and present your own opinion, but it must be supported by facts and scientific evidence.
