Watch the following Video:
(1) Connect your Home page to the menu bar, make sure to click on “Save Menu”
(2) Click on “Custom Link”
- At the URL location, type in your WordPress site’s web address
- At the end of the address, add “admin” after “/”
- In the Link field type in “ADMIN”
- Click Add to Menu
- make sure to click on “Save Menu“
(3) open a new browser, and type in your WordPress site’s web address
- click on each of the menu links to see what happens.
(4) go back to the Appearance – Menu dashboard
- Click on “Categories“
- Click on “View All”
- Check Mark on all the boxes
- Click Add to Menu
- make sure to click on “Save Menu“
You can move the menu items around by pickup and drop. this will re-arrange your menu items. Give this a try.
You can also make sub-menus (drop down menu) by moving an menu item to the right/below another item. Give this a try.
(5) we are now going to set your Home page as the Front Page of your wordpress site.
- go to Settings – Reading
- under static front page – select your Home page
